I really want to like this app as its very convenient to have quick and easy access to the weather from the menu bar. However, Ive been using it for about two weeks now and the menubar menu that appears when you click on the icon is non responsive. Please fix this and it should be close to perfect despite the subpar design UI.

Dont buy this app I have purchased other apps off the AfterTen website, support is non existent. repeated attempts via email and web site go unanswered.

Since the last update of the app and the update to 10.8.4 this app has been less than stellar. The menu bar icon flashes on updates. The application randomly resets to its default of Muskegon MI. I posted a query to the developer 2 weeks agao and have yet to receicve a reply. Dont waste your money. These are not the droids you are looking for… Too bad, this used to work well.

Okay, I kept waiting for this to be repaired. Time to move on. When you delete locations you are no longer using they "magically" reappear again … FOREVER. We were told this would be fixed, but even in this most recent update, this issue has not been fixed. And there is no way to dismiss the weather warnings without clicking on them and opening them up, which still freezes the app (not always, but too many times).

I have used this product for many years. And it used to be reliable requiring an occasional fix or update. Now it seems to be like those bits of legacy software abandoned by its authors. Now the program is not functioning well. It shows incorrect data, does not download the right information etc. There seems to be no support for this product anymore. I cannot recommend this product any further. Seek out other weather software as this one is no longer worth it.

Ive used WeatherMan for some time, and have found that the updates have continuously improved the performance. I can add almost any location that I want and get accurate weather forecasts. When Ive had problems, emails to the developer have resulted in vast improvements. I dont understand the negative reviews on this site. As far as Im concerned, this is the most useful weather app. Ive seen.

I wish the developer would release a more stable version. Something that works consistently. It would get five stars if it would just work like it’s suppose to.

Overview At first glance, WeatherMan appears to be an appealing and useful app. Presents most weather data in a useful and attractive format. Utiimately, though, I ended up uninstalling. Instead, I set-up a custom weather.gov search using my text expander app (aText). Cons - Bizarrely, the day’s high and low temps are omitted from the forecast info presented when the menu is pulled down. Need to open the forecast window to get them. - Forecast window does not always, ah, open; when it does, you have to, ah, search for it by hiding other open apps. - As others have noted, the developer is completely unresponsive.

I have used WeatherMan for years and found it to be essential in planning my daily activities. The streamlined interface expressing pertinent data lets me know right away what the weather is and what it will be in the near future. I am sure there are other good weather apps out there but I have been so satisfied with WeatherMan that I haven’t felt the need to change. Running Weathermenu in the menu bar keeps me up to date all day and more detailed information is only a click away. It’s one of those apps that makes the mac so great.

I used earlier version of this program for several years and though it did everything I wanted. I know the author had trouble a few years ago keeping up with changes to how the source data was served up. They would change something and the Weatherman was broken for a day or two. The author was very quick and responsive to updates and addressing those issues but I stopped using the program for two or three years. Nothing better ever came along. I am happy to have my old friend back and running in Yosemite!

It’s nice to be able to see how the weather is in an area where my friends and relatives live. I find the amount of information useful and not excessive. This app gets better each time it is upgraded, and the last two itterations have been very reliable. My friends are always telling me about this app and that, but I like Weatherman just fine — and it likes my iMac!

Quite suddenly WeatherMan has stopped showing Forecast or Ext. Forecast. Conditions, Trend and Images all seem to work as expected.

I updated to the new version and am once again very happy with this app. The forecast are working great now. I recommend Weatherman as a go to app for quick information Also the support is great. This was the first app that I purchased from the App Store a few years ago. My questions and concerns have always been answered and taken care of promptly and courteously.

I have had weatherman for years…way before it became an app. I kept updating it because it was simple and it worked. About a week ago, it had a glitch which the developer just fixed and I have my reliable app back again! It isn’t fancy to look at, but it gives you the info you want without taking up a lot of space. It gives you alerts, etc. Thumbs up.

I’ve been using WeatherMan since before it was even in the App Store. It has become indispensable to me. Although many developers have made good-faith efforts to provide weather applications — and some are quite striking — I don’t think anyone other than AfterTen has hit the perfect balance of functionality and elegance. WeatherMan provides me exactly the weather information I need to know, while making easily available weather information that I might need to know. For example, current conditions are available at a glance. A short-term forecast is a click away…a longer-term forecast is just another click away. Data for the last twenty-four hours…another click. There are impressive customization options available. You can pretty much dictate how the app presents weather information to you in the Dock. If you are serious about weather, this is the correct app for you.

I’ve used this app for years and highly recommend it. From time to time something breaks (we are talking about many different weather sources here) and the developer has always fixed it promptly. Easy to use and affordable!

Not only my home forecast and weather data is there. Load alternative locations you need timely accurate weather data for. Try it on a whim, like I did. Youlll find yourself using it every day.

Just updated and now all forcast highs and lows are 0° F.

I like the look of this app and the way everything else works but temperature is fixed at 70 and its currently 81 degrees. Running under El Capitan beta 6 which might explain the problem but it says 10.6.6 or later. Lots of 1 star reviews.

I bought it. I regret it, even for .99. 2 of the cities, towns, etc I entered showed it was clear skies. HAH! Right now it’s raining like crazy and no clear skies are to be seen.
